Daybreak Counselling Service

Welcome to the web-site of Daybreak Counselling Service. We opened in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, in September 2007 and are committed to providing counselling to people from all walks of life in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. We hope to make counselling more accessible not only in Gainsborough, but also in nearby towns including Retford and Bawtry and surrounding Lincolnshire villages.

Counselling gives you an opportunity to talk through issues which are affecting your life. These issues may be causing difficulty, distress or obstructing you from achieving your goals. Our Counsellor, Gillian Poucher, qualified in 2002 with a Diploma in Counselling. Her continued training has helped her to develop skills in dealing particularly with anxiety, depression and stress. Gillian is a Member of the International Society of Professional Counsellors (ISPC) and adheres to their Code of Ethics. Daybreak Counselling Service is non-profit making so there are no set fees payable. Donations are however welcome to meet the professional and administrative costs of providing the service. Gillian has worked as a counsellor in other non-profit making organisations in the past, including a mental health charity.

Daybreak Counselling Service is based in Gainsborough United Reformed Church, Church Street, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, within easy reach of Retford, Scunthorpe, Market Rasen, Lincoln, Bawtry, Doncaster and Saxilby. Although based on church premises, Daybreak Counselling Service is not a religious organisation.
